IT NETWORK AND SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST (Manufacturing and Warehousing)

Our client in  the manufacturing sector seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced IT Support Specialist with at least 5+ years direct experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities include

• Resolving network and application related issues with the use of network management tools
• Communicating with appropriate staff and directorates in rectifying incidents
• Monitoring the security, service continuity and performance of the network and taking appropriate action to maintain and optimize it
• Identifying any network issues (security, resilience, performance) , taking action to rectify them and reporting to IT manager
• Ability to use process mapping techniques, problem solving and decision-making tools to assist with document issues via SOP’S and process flows
• Learn, understand and maintain all software packages within the business, including ERP systems

Must have Matric/Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification (BDegree or National Diploma).  A+ or N+ Certification  is essential. Solid knowledge of MS Servers: domain, control, and active directory, Firewalls and Hyper Visor (ability to split functions) is an absolute requirement, ability to integrate and develop SharePoint would be beneficial. Knowledge of SQL servers and EXCEL: – VBA basic coding is required.
